FOUR TIER WHITE VASE

£345.00

Hand thrown using white stoneware clay, this unique four teir white vase was Raku Fired and Kintsugi’d.

RAKU FIRED: The Raku technique is essentially when glazed ceramics are taken from the kiln while they are still glowing red hot and are then placed in a material that would be able to catch fire, such as sawdust or newspaper. This technique is used to starve the piece of oxygen, which creates a myriad of colours within the glaze.

KINTSUGI: is the Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together with gold — built on the idea that in embracing flaws and imperfections, you can create an even stronger, more beautiful piece of art.

DIMENSIONS:

  • H: 58 x W: 15 (cm)

WEIGHT:

  • 2.819kg

WATERTIGHT:

  • YES

NOTE:

  • Due to its size - COLLECTION ONLY
