Fault lines I

£375.00

Fault Lines is a horsehair, raku-fired moon jar inspired by the sculptural forms of Hans Coper. Removed from the kiln at around 800 degrees Celcius the glowing hot vessel is market with horsehair which burns onto the surface, leaving delicate carbon tracings that echo geological fault lines, river networks and ancient landscapes. Every firing produces a unique and unrepeatable surface.
