We are a small local studio pottery in Dukes Meadows, Chiswick. We are driven by our whims, passion and commissions. We make most ceramic objects you might use in the home and also decorative arty pots.
We use a range of materials including porcelain, stoneware, red and white earthenware clays.
And we just luuurve Raku! Raku is an old Japanese way of glazing pots. An oil drum is used as the kiln. It’s hooked up to a propane gas burner and off it goes- heating to about 900 degrees Celsius! It’s a messy process! Not quite earth wind and fire. More fire, air, smoke and water resulting in totally unrepeatable ceramic pieces with truly magnificently rich coloured glazes
Not to sound too melodramatic but these one-offs pieces, each have the blood sweat tears and utter joy of the maker in them.😍
